Milium effusum 'Aureum' wants shade; lovely thing, especially in
early spring when its soft yellow lights up the garden; it fades a
bit toward chartreuse as the season wears on. Short (to about 8"
-10" for foliage, blooms are taller), clumping grass that seeds true.
Of course, there are the many Carex...not true grasses but always
listed with grasses...love Carex and most of them either want or
tolerate shade.
