Terry,
I grow Carex comans bronze form - seems quite hardy in my USDA z 7
garden. Also thought C. buchananii hailed from NZ tho' it is not on
that list - also hardy for me, but I think not much farther north.
Another not on the list but that I thought was native to NZ is C.
petriei. It is supposed to be sort of marginally hardy for me, but
is grown in the US. I have germinated seed from that one and may
have one plant somewhere if it made it through the winter....need to
go look for it and see.
I've seen C. flagellifera and C. testacea listed here in the
US...think I even have seed for C. flagellifera that needs sowing:-)
