Quite often they germinate in warm conditions after about three weeks,
particularly if the seed is sown fresh. If they don't germinate after
about four weeks, put the pot in the salad drawer of the fridge for a
month and then put them outside again in ordinary warmth but out of
direct sunlight. If the seed is good, they shouldn't be difficult. You
can cut ioff the tails to make them easier to handle but it doesn't seem
to make much difference to germination. It's the plumper seeds which are
viable; sometimes you get some whicj don't plump up and they're not
worth sowing.
