Re: hellstrips now pulsatilla

Thanks Claire, I was about to do it wrong and save til fall, so am very
glad you mentioned it. Really bad luck with the rodents though. Do you
have a cat?

While we're on pulsatillas. This is the first year I've been growing them
and they bloomed very well. However, they were hardly ever open! When
they bloomed last fall (yes, it was a wierd fall) they were short and
full with nice big open flowers tucked close to the plant, but now they
got lanky and the small flowers kind of nodded and rarely opened. Was it
the hot weather or ????? Any ideas?

It's been miserably hot here also but it's supposed to be down in the
30's and 40's (night) in a few days. Won't save the tulips though, all
gone now.
