In the Dallas area, Mexican Petunia is Ruellia Brittoniana. Is that your
new plant?
I have it in my garden. It's pretty tough. Takes long periods of being
ignored. Gets eaten right down to the ground by the rabbits and keeps
coming back. (Anyone know how to get rid of rabbits? They're eating
everything in sight and are faster than the hawks). Blooms for most of the
summer. It reseeds for me, but it's not too rampant through the garden.
Amy in DFW, zone 8.
