Gene, the double-flowered bloodroot is one of my favorite plants. There are 
few flowers that match this one's beauty. It's relatively expensive in the 
trade, when you can find it, but it will spread over time. My original plant 
from about 6-8 years ago now puts up half a dozen flowers, some 6-8" apart 
from each other. It opened here in the Cincinnati area (Z6a) for the first 
time yesterday.
