RE: Heuchera 'Amber Waves'

Marilyn, I have heard that also about its vigor. One person said they thought it was because they had it in shade and was going to pull it out and see how it does in full sun.

I have had mine too short of time yet to make an assessment but I like the idea about it doing well with bright colors Crocosmias. Here I was thinking opposite colors not even thinking of playing up the brightness. It wasn't that long ago these colors would have sent me screaming into the salmon berry patch.

First time for me to use rubrus in containers but I like its rough texture so thought it would be a nice addition. I killed in my garden so trying again to get some going in the native section of the garden.

Debra, Amber Waves is quite lovely with any of the hot yellow or orange
Crocosmias such as 'George Davidson' or 'Emily McKenzie'. I don't think it
is as vigorous as many of the purple leafed Heucheras though. Mine is still
fairly small after 2 seasons. I have not used creeping rubrus in any of my
containers. Thanks for the suggestion!
