Gene and and other 'amber wave' owners echo my experience , when I bought
this last year at Jennie Maillards stall, she remarked how slow it is to
bulk up, and I have to say, it has been sitting in my border for the last
year and hardly seemed to have grown a leaf! (its tempting to say that when
its that colour its hard to see if its dead or not, but I actually like the
colour, but there again I like Carex comans bronze form, which attracts the
same comments). I was hoping that after putting its roots down it might bulk
up, I think I might have to be patient. Micropropagation might be this plants
only way forward.
