Tent Catepillars

Interesting using the propane to burn off the tent catepillars.
My Mother living in Northern Kentucky on a farm more than 55 years ago
killed these little critters much the same way, with a hand made torch. I
was always tempted to do that but resorted to using chemicals, i.e. getting
spray all over myself and in my face and I always had to spray them several
times.
We don't live in Kentucky anymore we live north of Houston and we are not
bombarded every spring with the Tent Catepillars. We get plenty other
pests and problems though. I don't miss those nasty things one bit.
