During two incredibly warm days last week, I actually put on shorts to
clean winter debris out of the flower beds.
Iris retic. have come and gone, the yellow forsythia shrub circled with blue
scilla is in full glory, crocus are fading, the daffodils have just started,
and last night the darn temperatures dropped below freezing. A cruel joke
and I'm wondering if flower buds like the apple buds and Viburnum carlesii
and others will get damaged.
