I sent my Corydals x allenii pics in a previous reply and now I want to share one of my favorite simple pleasures - Lathyrus vernus 'Katrink's Blue', Spring Vetchling. I had the purple species for several years and have always benn delighted with it. Then I ordered L.v. Rosea, to compliment it and she is vigorous. Then Darrell Probst, Garden Vision offered a very pricey blue variety and I just HAD to have it! No critter had ever touched the other two so I did nothing to protect it and some bunny chewed it down to the nub the first spring after I'd planted it. So I had to order another one. Katrink has had a cage now for 2 yrs to protect her from marauders, and she looks so pretty and happy this spring. I am so delighted! This is my double bloodroot, Sanguinara canadensis forma multiplex, that I planted several years ago. It responded really well to a an application of 10-10-10 fertilizer last spring and doubled in size, spreading further into the path at the base of a large rock. The photograph just shows a portion of the patch. Chris
