Are the pines mature? How tall? What species? If they are still growing,
the semi-circle will fill in with pine boughs.
How far from the drip line will the arbor be?
The soil under pines tends to be dry due to the demands of the pine tree
roots, but, the wild Grapes seem not to mind, they grow rather well in
with the White Pines on my property.
