G'day, Heather, Linda, Dale, RFS, & everyone else interested in this thread --
I've been trying to picture ROCKS to hold the mini-wall. Would you cement
them in?
Seems like you would have to to keep the dirts & rocks from washing out.
I have rock around the swimming pool & have hated it for years.
I am so tired of picking them up & throwing them back in!!!
At least they are light-colored so I can see them before I hit them with the
mower.
I really appreciate the suggestion of Cedar & sealants. I'm can be pretty
handy about doing things for myself but there's a lot that escapes me. Would
Redwood stain like you use on picnic tables, etc., be of any help?
Now, how do you roto-till small raised beds??
Wouldn't long rows all the way across be easier to till?
Wouldn't it be difficult to till without kicking the rocks out here & there?
I was watching Martha Stewart recently & she didn't have anything holding the
dirt in her raised beds. Just 4 stakes around each & some string, I think,
inbetween. Isn't she amazing!!
It's so wet here I sink nearly to my ankles when I walk across the back yard!!
Thank again, Barb
