Ditto on the Gypsum, Dale!! Great stuff!!
Have used many, many, many bags of the stuff.
Most of my yard is fill dirt. We spread it when we put down grass seed 25
years ago. Probably should do it again. Hard to work in my budget.
I have put a bag on my garden and flower beds once in a while.
For years I put all the kitchen waste & I could back into the soil.
Everything from coffee grounds, egg shells, everything I cut off the
vegetables I brought in and all the grass clippings my flowers didn't get.
All that did wonders for the soil!!! Once in a while I dig down far enough to
see the ground under my garden. The color difference is very obvious!!!!
Whenever someone mentions adding sand in their soil, I tell them "Why put
something in that adds no nutrients?" "And what grows in sand besides Cacti?"
