The poison ivy was just nature's way of paying you back for digging ANYTHING
from the wild. This is considered extremely bad form. Rescue things in the
way of the bulldozer, with permission, but PLEASE don't take from the wild.
Many things have become endangered this way!! Seeds, maybe, but not plants.
You are not the only guilty party--I myself have dug things in the past, but
no more.
