The Andersen Source List is published periodically about every 4 years I think
I read once. since it obviously depends on the cooperation of the growers, it
will always obviously be out of date on publication day by at least a year.
There are two things that prevent a publication like the RHS Plantfinder from
being published here--it is a tremendous amount of work to compile (and just
putting all the data into a database is not enough--the taxonomy needs to be
straighted out too) and there is probably not enough market to make it
profitable. If there were the market, you can bet it would be an annual
publication by someone.
