Hello,
I am hoping that someone can help me identify a plant. I moved to a new house
last summer and have a neighbor that has a plant that I know, but can not
remember the name of.
It is a perennial, getting to about 4 feet tall when mature, has thick stems
that are mottled simular to an arisema, glossy dark green foliage and a flower
like a Calla Lily which has a very foul odor. In the Pacific NW the few times
I have seen it, it is in dry shade conditions. Once established it is very
hard to kill, but does not really spread itself around enough to be considered
a weed. I have heard some people do grow it, but cut off the flowers. I can
not find it in any of the books that I have on weeds or ornamental perennials,
I guess it is a tweeny.
Thanks in advance for your help.
