Last year I planted three pulsatillas I ordered by mail. They survived but
didn't grow a lot and looked pretty weak by the end of last year. I truly
did not expect them to come back.
BUT, THEY'RE BACK!!!
Two of them are blooming and I have hopes for the third one which came out a
little later. The first has three gorgeous purple flowers. The flower
reminds me of a St. Brigid's anemone in intensity of color. The second one
opened its flower today and it was a gorgeous velvety dark red. Can't wait
to see what happens with the third one.
I'll have to check the sources to see if these will bloom continuously for a
while or if it is a one-shot deal. But I can highly recommend this plant.
