Good morning!
A while back a new company, Roots & Rhizomes, was formed and a lot of us
received their catalog at the beginning of the year. A few people here at
my job were curious enough to go in together and place an order on March
11. We received the order yesterday and I would like to share my tale with
my listmates.
I ordered three lavatera: 'Eye Catcher' (a dark pink), thuringiaca
'Barnsley' (white with a pink center), and 'Lilac Lady' (er...lilac). The
first two bareroot plants have very large root systems and I was pleasantly
surprised to see the 'Barnsley' was leafing out. I was a little
disappointed with the size of the 'Lilac Lady' as compared to the other
two. I'll put that into a pot and see what happens. Another co-worker
ordered dicentra 'Dwarf Luxuriant' and her roots had nice leaves forming.
The other co-worker ordered pulmonaria rubra 'David Ward' and again, the
roots had begun to leaf out. Both were happy with the size and quality of
the packs they received. All of us had free metal plant markers as a bonus
for our order. Get this: the total shipping was $3.95!
I'll look forward to placing another order. Anyone else order from them
yet?
