Well, I'm one of those people who can't grow cleome. I've direct-seeded and
I've started in pots, and if I'm really lucky, I might get about 3 flowers.
Self-seed? Hah!! The other "easy" flower that I can't grow is nasturtium.
Lots of (ugly, chewed-upon) foliage, but no flowers. I wish and wish that I
could grow both! Does anyone out there in clay-soil-land grow these annuals?
BTW, is there a newsgroup or maillist for annuals? I have lots and lots of
questions for such a group, and haven't found one via search engines. If
there isn't one, is anyone interested in starting one?
