I haven't the time to find any references, but I'm sure no doctor would put
a child through the experience of having their stomach pumped if it was not
necessary.  Of course, this was some years ago and things might have
changed.  However, regardless of the fact that pyracantha is a woody plant,
I would not want someone with small children planting it in the garden if
there is even the most remote chance that the plant is poisonous to small,
developing bodies -- which is exactly what Kimberly was concerned about.
