This is my third year with both the coreopsis Moonbeam and scabiosa
Butterfly Blue and a pink one (don't know the name). I am conservative on
watering (one hour, once a week for the worst 4-6 weeks of the year with a
soaker hose and then--none) and fertilizing, but the soil is well
amended--the Moonbeam has nearly taken over the bed. On the other hand,
the scabiosas this year look puny. My experience would be that the
Moonbeam can get by on little water and might even do better.
In answering your question, I have one--do the scabiosas need frequent
dividing? or is there some way to revive them?At 07:49 AM 4/21/99 -0400,
