Barb, One other thing I didn't mention is that the plants are on the west
side, in full sun (from 12:00 until 5:00 or 6:00), against a rock wall
(warm, hot, sunny). One of the coreopsis is shaded somewhat by a whitebud
tree and spends most of the summer leaning towards the sunnier area. Maybe
they need more sun?
