I tried to say "go EASY on the fertilizer and rich soils" meaning "STAY
AWAY FROM". Perhaps I didn't come across very well...
I agree with you. I was trying to tell the original poster that these were
carefree annuals, much like the moonflowers we discussed on this list not
too long ago.
By the way, what are those little black bugs that infest my plants every
time? Do you get them where you are?
