I, too have a question regarding the above:
I adore V. spicata 'Blue Charm' but it invariably becomes 80% prostrate over
the season regardless of where I put it. I'm thinking of replacing all of it
with Salvia superba 'Blauhugel (a.k.a. 'Blue Hill' and 'Blue Mound'). Does
this S. become
prostrate? Will it continue to bloom into September if I deadhead it? Does it
take
generally the same cultivation practices as V.? I'm definitely looking for an
upright
medium lilac blue that's about 18" and blooms for most of the summer. Nepeta
is too loose for my purposes.
Thanks for any advice anyone might have.
