Anemone

I planted an anemone in partial shade, but mostly clayey soil about a week ago.  I've watered the plant often (not too much).  Now many of the leaves are beginning to curl, kinda like tomato plants when you prune. 
 
What am I doing wrong?  Bad soil?  Too much water?
