Hello Dee Ann,
Evansville is only a couple of hours for here... strange how you can get such
different results with your planting of crocosmia than I... I must have not been
holding my mouth right when I purchased them for JoAn this spring. They are in her
raised beds with decent soil, full sun, mulch, have been a bit on the dry side due
to lack of rain here, but she has watered her beds to hold down stress. Still a
bit of puzzlement here .....
Chelone is just setting buds here. Think I need to try some of the white
blooming ones and perhaps one of the more unusual cultivars or species. I like
these stiffly upright plants with good foliage that nothing seems to bother. Sure
are easy to grow and bloom is always dependable.
The devil got me long time ago.... This one is too far back for you, but I
became a member of the "church of what's happening now" through the rev Geraldine
(Flip Wilson on TV). "The devil made me do it"... and still does to this day.
Do come visit.. still keeping that Pepsi in the cooler for you,
