It is called the dog days of summer here. :)
Felt the same way, nothing interesting out there, but then the hibiscus
started blooming, and the grasses started pluming, the yellow button
tops of the tansy, the Joe Pye weed, the purple sneeze weed, the
coreopsis still blooming its heart out, the coneflowers, the butterfly
bushes, and others that have been showing off are still there which I
can't think of at the moment! Just think the tones are less dramatic,
or for us northerners... we are used to seeing green by now. Of course
this is also the best time for a pond--- the lilies and lotus are really
showing off.
Cheryl, this is the first year for my blackberry lily. Love the way the
flowers twist...interesting after the flower. Do the flowers get bigger
in age? I wasn't expecting this tiny flower although quite many per
stalk, since the fan was so large.
It has been raining on and off since last night Yeah!... Never so glad
to hear thunderstorms last night.:)
