I can't remember all that I have heard this summer but here is one that
stuck. We have a big green pot of a Begonia named 'Skaugum' (a castle in
Norway). This is one those wonder bulbs that fills a tub with green leaves
and red flowers, just one little tuber. Here it does not get quite that
exuberant but it is out in the garden and you need to nearly trip over it to
get to the cars.
When Ed described it to the guys, it became Squanto and nobody was the wiser,
all happy with the explanation. Thought the red and green apt, golfers
would accept that. Ed is the garden guy in the group and he will never
remember Skaugum, it is my plant and all are happy. Don't anyone get
nervous, this group will not be out selling plants anywhere near you.
