The virus will be pandemic in all the states east of the Mississippi by the
end of this year. Its spreading threw Minnesota right now at a good pace
with a number of dead horses in a short time.
99 percent of the people exposed to the virus from a mosquitoe bite will be
all right 1 percent will get sick and a small percentage of those will have
severe symptoms that in a few people will lead to death.
Since the virus is spread by way of birds there is no place in north America
were this virus will not spread too (unless you know a place without the
"Minnesota State bird").
I would not be afraid of it but I still would be concerned for people that
are weak and already immune compromised.
The "war" on mosquitoes has let up a lot over the last 20 years as more
people wanted to become "environmentally friendly"
