I think DiSabato lives and works in central Ohio about zone 5. My daylilies
are so very ratty this year with the drought and heat, despite watering,
that I may try whacking them down. The job of just "dead-leafing" them is
too overwhelming.
Or as Paul suggests, digging and dividing - groan.
