Hi Lynn,
I've been looking for Royal Red, but haven't found it yet! I think I have to look harder....

     Has anyone grown the daylily 'Nordic Night'?  It is a dark purple and
blooms early.  It also got the white streaks on the flower petals in my
garden.

this happens often with the dark red and purple daylilies - moisture (dew, rain, watering) or temperature changes the night before opening are the usual culprits according to the daylily pundits. I have only seen it when the temps are really high.
