I love the idea that gardeners will try new things and grow plants that are
not trendy or bound by tradition. You would become bored with the
blue/pink/purple thing if you never looked elsewhere. Admitttedly some
plants can be quite awful and it takes all summer to come to that conclusion.
There are some of the best gardeners and thinkers here on this list, my
favorite list. People who garden in the real world.
I plant those containers also and I have come to like them almost better than
garden beds. They offer an short season gardener so much more to try as
youhave warm soil faster in container.
In parts of Europe, a gardener can send his containers, especially small
trees in big pots off to winter storage which is rented space. In spring,
the plants are delivered back to the owners. I would like a place like that
around here.
