Seems to be that way here in WI, too.  We are very dry in SE
Wisconsin.  Last weekend we were at friends two hours north and they
had 2 inches overnight.  Her comment was that they didn't really need
so much rain - they had standing water the following day.  My
community hasn't had a decent rain for over 6 weeks.  Very unusual for
this part of the country.
