Marge: Interesting that all/most Carexes love moisture, but carex
platyphylla may not or it may do quite well in dry shade......looking for the
answer on that one. Do you have that site handy? The Weedpatch article was
very interesting and included my recent acquisition of Carex pennsylvanica.
Now I've developed this ?absession of buying every plant with a species name
of pennsylvanica. for my Pennsylvania garden, of course.
And, thanks for your opinion on Molina caerulia 'Variegate'. I have mostly
shade on the three acres but perhaps 1/2 acre is a former ( mostly sunny )
pasture where dwarf conifers, unusual shrubs,a few daylillies and sun lovin
grasses grow. So yes, I can plant a gaggle of Molina c.V. if it's a good
one.
thanks, Walter In Bucks Coumty,Pa
