Re: digitalis grandiflora


I have one that is definitely perennial, cast iron in fact.  It's not the
one that seeds itself and can be 4 feet or more tall.  I got this one from a
friend and wish I knew what it is called--and could get some different
shades.  It grows quite well in almost full sun, doesn't seem to mind
drought, but increases well with more moisture.  It's a pale yellow, flower
stems might be three feet, foliage only about a foot and a little more tall.
Neat green tall  rosettes of leaves.  I've never seen it in a picture.  The
leaves don't turn brown or messy after flowering like the biennial type.
