Claire-its also less costly, at least for me. I can take 65 pictures at a
time and if only two turn out it has not cost me more than one charge of the
batteries.
The digital camera has more limitations than the 35 mm but for general
picture taking I find the ease and speed very useful. I do not take to many
"bad" pictures but do like to take a lot of "useless" pictures in the hopes
that something will "happen"
