I think you got a reply to this about the Olivers, Lynn, but can't
find it in my inbox mess, so, in case I was dreaming....Charles and
Martha Oliver own Primrose Path Nursery in western PA. Very nice
people....breed Heuchera, Heucherella and others. Martha has told me
that they tend to use the native eastern Heuchera in their breeding
programs, making them tougher and more adapted to the hot summers/
cold winters we get in the Mid-Atlantic states than those with
different parentage. Some of their plants want more sun than many of
the purple leafed sorts that are out there...some are smaller plants
all around - the ones I've gotten from them (and can't recall names
right off bat) have very good leaf color.
I'd say go for it; doubt you'll find you've gone wrong. They have
info. on several of their plants on their web site - check out the
articles - and if you have questions, just email them - Martha is the
one who usually does email.
http://www.primrosepath.com is (I think - did this from memory) the
URL to the web site. If this doesn't work, yell and I'll go look it
up:-)
