And you definitely are not talking about Black Knight -- very dark black purple?

Hi everyone,
I have been enjoying the discussion on hot colors - I
love nasturtiums and bright colors generally, including
orange & purple together. A garden all in pink & blue
sounds wimpy to me! But I do love blue and white in the
summer, makes it look cooler.
My question is, when I was exploring the Olympic
peninsula this summer, I suddenly came around a corner
(in the car) and there in front of me was the most
gorgeous butterfly bush I've ever seen - it looked like
an explosion of bottlebrushes in fluorescent/neon deep
purple. Now I have seen lots of purple butterfly
bushes, but none of them looked like that. Do you think
the intense color was due to the cool humidity, or is
this something I could order from somewhere?
