bush morning glory

Is there any chance of growing bush morning glory (Convolvulus cneorum) as
an effective annual in northern New York zone 4? How fast does it grow? I
saw it in a list of xeric plants in Garden Gate mag, looked it up on the
web and fell in love with a picture:
