Is there any chance of growing bush morning glory (Convolvulus cneorum) as an effective annual in northern New York zone 4? How fast does it grow? I saw it in a list of xeric plants in Garden Gate mag, looked it up on the web and fell in love with a picture: http://www.liddlewonder.co.nz/PlantGallery/ConvolvulusCneorum/ (Just having a fit of high hopes and thought it couldn't hurt to ask.) A neat plant, I'll agree. Tried it as a potted plant here in Milwaukee a few years ago, but didn't do too much for me. Might have done better in the ground (but would need excellent drainage). Try purchasing a small plant next spring - season probably too short to try from seed.
