Hi Cheryl,
I would suppose it matters which one you have, but for the most part
they have a very long tap root once established. I would not try to move
it unless it is a new planting.

They are what we call native plants around here, so even if the weather
gets to an established plant, it will return next year to bloom its
heart out for you.

I picked the common blue one, but both sites offer more info on other
species.
