Well, this time around it's a little too late. I am not "governmentally
aware" and didn't realize the board met and made their decision yesterday.
My letter to each council member and commissioner went out on Monday;
hopefully they got it. I spoke with the hort ed and he said the newest
council member did push for the money but he didn't know the outcome yet.
The only thing in today's paper about it had to do with pay raises.
The hort ed is sort of dropping hints about MGs getting involved in these
things, but he cannot organize any sort of movement. He can only hope that
MGs become more aware of what is happening and act on it.
Our MGs are coordinated by the Horticulture Educator. Consequently there
are no meetings where this type of subject might come up.
