Boy! do those two ever go together.
Joanie, this has been one of the strangest years ever with weather.
We have been warm, dropped to coolest temps ever, back up to heat again.
More rain than we have ever experienced. Flooding all around us, but we have
been fortunate... only the hillside path washing out into the yard. Wind
storms and Ice storms as well.
My main addition to my gardens is one I have been working on for
about 4 years now. I am working on an azalea walk up on the hillside. Lots
of native species and selections, cultivars and hybrids. Going for an azalea
in bloom from Mid-March through September. For now working on a large raised
bed along one path. Lots of ferns, Asian mayapples, all kinds of "stuff"
under my azalea.

Hi, Gene!
Sounds like you garden has been productive this year...are you planning any
more additions? Did you have tremendous rain this summer? Or was it cooler
than usual? Any problems? We seem to now have a quorum on the Perennial
List:-)
