Hi all,

It’s been a bit of an odd summer…I have a question about Persicaria virginiana – I think my variety is  ‘Brushstrokes’, green with a dark chevron, variable height, hot pink flowers.  I started with one a few yrs back and now have a small stand of about 4 by 6 feet in sun w some shade from hottest sun.  Just as they are reaching the stage of budding, the tips have all gone grey/taupe and there won’t be any flowers. There are volunteers throughout the yard  that don’t have the problem and some in full sun that look great.  I’ve never had this happen to them.  Any ideas???

Lobelia siphilitica, I’ve had these for several years and a couple of them are blooming white – not light blue, but pure white.  Is this a normal happenstance?
