Sounds like fungi problem. I wish for white Lobelia but white and pink and maroon die. The red and blue does great except last summer when it was too hot and very dry here in Tennessee.

Hi all,
Itâ??s been a bit of an odd summerâ?¦I have a question about Persicaria virginiana â?? I think my variety is â??Brushstrokesâ??, green with a dark chevron, variable height, hot pink flowers. I started with one a few yrs back and now have a small stand of about 4 by 6 feet in sun w some shade from hottest sun. Just as they are reaching the stage of budding, the tips have all gone grey/taupe and there wonâ??t be any flowers. There are volunteers throughout the yard that donâ??t have the problem and some in full sun that look great. Iâ??ve never had this happen to them. Any ideas???
Lobelia siphilitica, Iâ??ve had these for several years and a couple of them are blooming white â?? not light blue, but pure white. Is this a normal happenstance?
Kitty
