Re: fertilizer


I believe (and of course all standard disclaimers apply) the concern with 
osmocote is its molybdenum content.  Molybdenum is a metal/trace mineral 
that your body needs, but, like everything else, too much can be bad for 
you.  It can cause gout-like symptoms and interfer with your body's ability 
to metabolise copper.  In fertilizer it helps plants use nitrogen.

hmm.  My osmocote 14-14-14 says "vegetable & bedding plant food" and no
mention of molybdenum.  Maybe I'm thinking of some other version of their
fertilizer.  Or some other fertilizer entirely.  Or maybe it's just really 
late and I'm 'fused.  Check your labels.
