Re: Scree beds

A perhaps dumb question about raised scree beds:  Do you "tie" the
four-timber high landscape timbers together someway? Long spikes through
holes? Stakes at the corners to keep them from falling off the stack? I
have just a two-high stack at one end of a bed and have had to drill
holes through both ends and used  big spikes to keep the top one from
moving off.
