Re: buddleia

Yep, deadheading is very worthwhile with these shrubs. I go out and do it
about once a week. Be careful to take just the spent flower head, as new
blooms will arise from the junction of the old bloom stalk and the next set
of leaves. The resultant blooms are not always as big as the first sets, but
they keep coming until frost, and deadheading also improves the overall
appearance of the buddleia.

I have a buddleia, White Profusion, in its third year and looking good. My
question is, now that it's a bit past its prime, would I get more blooms if
I dead head the spent ones? I sort of hate to mess with its shape and
height, but would like more flowers, too. Anyone with experience on this?
