Re: Septic System Demo Garden

We have an herb garden over the area where the septic access is and a lawn
over the leach field. We were warned not to plant anything basically over
the leachfield but that's ridiculous! The outcome is that our grass is
green and fairly lush, even in the hottest/dryest parts of the summer in So
Cal. Though I don't suggest you grow grass, maybe you could put a grassy
meadow (maybe native grasses?) over the leachfield and more perennial/woody
(natives as well?) plants over the areas where you need access.
